What makes Judge Judy dangerous in this league is the pace. No fluff. No waiting. Somebody’s getting embarrassed within 45 seconds. Maury and Jerry Springer brought chaos, but Judge Judy felt sharper. Meaner. Smarter. Like courtroom comfort food.

And unlike some nostalgia picks here, Judge Judy actually holds up. Flip it on today and you’ll still get sucked into a dispute over a damaged jet ski like it’s the NBA Finals.

The biggest debate? Whether this belongs above the pure game show giants like The Price Is Right or Family Feud. Depends what your sick day vibe was. Cozy and delirious? Or loud strangers getting yelled at before lunch?
