Unlike Danny Trejo or Clancy Brown, Cole doesn’t rely on physical intimidation or giant personality swings. He wins with timing. Smugness. Dry delivery. Nobody plays confident idiots better.
And Office Space alone gives him nuclear-level nostalgia points. Half the internet can hear his voice before even reading the quote.
The real debate is whether Gary Cole is secretly TOO versatile for this league. Some character actors play variations of themselves forever. Cole shapeshifts constantly. You don’t always realize it’s him until halfway through the movie.
