Freaks and Geeks captured high school. Undeclared picked up the emotional mess a few years later: dorm rooms, new friends, terrible decisions, hookups, homesickness, and the sudden realization that nobody is supervising you anymore. Its single season makes it one of the purest “what could this have become?” contenders in the bracket. The obvious showdown is Freaks and Geeks, where Judd Apatow’s two short-lived worlds finally have to fight each other. My So-Called Life offers another generational coming-of-age battle. Undeclared enters as an underdog, but that’s exactly the kind of contender that can make a league fun. If college wins over high school, vote accordingly.
