True Lies (1994)

Imagine discovering your boring salesman husband is actually an international super-spy. That's the chaos at the center of True Lies, where Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Harry Tasker, a secret agent trying to save the world without destroying his marriage. One minute he's chasing a suspect on horseback through a hotel, and the next he's dealing with jealousy, family drama, and Jamie Lee Curtis stealing scenes. Then comes a finale involving a fighter jet that only an Arnold movie could pull off. True Lies has enormous action, but its secret weapon is how funny the whole thing gets. Predator fans might want tougher action, while Terminator 2 fans want higher stakes. But if you're judging pure entertainment from start to finish, can you really count True Lies out?
