Sylvester sees Tweety and immediately forgets every painful lesson from the last attempt. That relentless pursuit is the whole appeal. He schemes, climbs, sneaks and lunges toward victory, only for everything to come crashing back on him. His sputtering frustration and spectacular failures make him a natural heavyweight in a cartoon-cat bracket. A matchup with Tom asks which perpetually unsuccessful hunter makes losing funnier.
