Swing Set
The swings were usually the first thing you spotted and often the last thing you left. There was something magical about seeing how high you could go, trying to touch the sky, or attempting that questionable flying dismount that definitely worried nearby adults.
The swing set worked for everyone. Little kids loved it. Older kids competed on it. Some treated it like a thrill ride. Others used it as a place to talk with friends while kicking at the clouds.
Its biggest rivals are Monkey Bars and Tire Swing. One rewards skill. The other offers adventure. But neither delivered the pure feeling of freedom quite like a perfect swing session.
