“Suit up!” (Barney, How I Met Your Mother)

Barney Stinson didn’t merely wear suits. He recruited people into them. “Suit up!” compresses the whole Barney worldview into two words: confidence, commitment, unnecessary ceremony and absolutely no interest in being talked out of it. That makes it a strong character-fit contender, especially against Joey’s equally shameless “How you doin’?” But Barney has a harder question to answer against the old-school giants: did “Suit up!” travel far enough beyond How I Met Your Mother to beat something like “D’oh!”? Barney would presumably consider that question ridiculous. Fans get to decide whether the confidence is justified.
