SPACE JAM
Try explaining Space Jam without making it sound made up. Michael Jordan gets pulled into the Looney Tunes universe to play basketball against aliens who stole NBA talent. Bill Murray eventually gets involved. In the '90s, everybody just accepted this and asked when we could watch it again. Space Jam isn't here to win on subtlety. Its case is pure era-specific electricity: basketball, cartoons, sneakers, music, Bugs Bunny, and MJ all occupying the same universe. Put it against The Mighty Ducks for sports nostalgia or Toy Story for animation-adjacent childhood obsession. Come on and slam—or send it home.
