Rye

You can't talk about great sandwiches without talking about rye. It's the backbone of the Reuben, a deli staple, and one of the most recognizable breads in the world. Caraway seeds and earthy flavor make rye instantly identifiable, but they also make it polarizing. People either crave that distinctive taste or avoid it completely.
