This is the montage that started it all. Rocky isn't training with fancy equipment or elite coaches. He's running through neighborhoods, punching slabs of meat, grinding through exhaustion, and slowly becoming someone who believes he belongs in the ring. By the time he reaches the top of those Philadelphia steps, it feels like you've earned it with him. Nearly every training montage since owes something to Rocky, but some fans argue later movies perfected the formula. Can the original still beat bigger, flashier challengers like Rocky IV or Creed?
