Ring Pop

Ring Pop

Wearing your candy was an outrageous concept, and Ring Pop understood that children are extremely susceptible to outrageous concepts. You didn’t just eat one. You walked around with a giant candy gemstone on your finger like you’d recently gotten engaged at recess. Eventually your hand became sticky, the candy became strangely sharp, and absolutely none of that mattered. Ring Pop has Kid Aura that almost nobody in this league can challenge. Push Pop comes close with its gadget energy, but Ring Pop wins the visual flex before either wrapper is opened. The problem is the actual eating experience. Holding your hand near your mouth for that long is absurd, and the candy-to-finger situation gets progressively more questionable. But maybe practicality misses the point. When you were eight years old, would you rather have had the sensible sucker—or the edible diamond?
