That cool, understated style separates him immediately from the frantic energy of Tom, Sylvester and Tigger. The comedy comes from timing, expression and the feeling that he’s operating on a completely different wavelength from everyone around him. Put him against Garfield and it’s cool detachment versus sarcastic indifference. Against Felix, it becomes a battle between two characters with roots stretching deep into cartoon history.
