Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (book)

Imagine finding out your school problems aren't just bad luck. You're actually a demigod, monsters are trying to kill you, and Zeus thinks you've stolen his lightning bolt. That's the chaos Percy Jackson walks into in The Lightning Thief. Rick Riordan makes Greek mythology feel like it belongs in the modern world, complete with sarcastic jokes, dangerous quests, and a hero who rarely has a perfect plan. Percy, Annabeth, and Grover bring the friendship and banter, while Camp Half-Blood gives readers another fictional place they'd love to visit. Harry Potter has wizard school, and Narnia has talking animals, but Percy brings the gods into your backyard. Which adventure gets your vote?
