The door opens. “Hello!” And whatever normal conversation Laverne and Shirley were having is officially finished.
Lenny and Squiggy work as a pair because separating them would be a crime against weirdness. They're the neighbors who don't need an invitation, don't recognize social cues, and somehow make entering somebody else's apartment feel like a signature move. Long before Kramer was sliding through Jerry's doorway, these two were proving that the funniest neighbor is often the one who refuses to stay home.
Their challenge is generational. Kramer and Urkel have bigger recognition with younger voters. But on pure Drop-In Factor? Lenny and Squiggy can absolutely fight.
So judge the matchup, not the decade. If your neighbor's arrival alone can get a laugh before they've even done anything, how much more neighbor energy do you need?
