Kindergarten Cop (1990)

Arnold Schwarzenegger can survive gunfights, explosions, and alien hunters. But can he survive a classroom full of five-year-olds? Kindergarten Cop turns the ultimate action hero into an undercover detective posing as a kindergarten teacher, and the results are ridiculous in the best way. Watching John Kimble struggle to control a room full of children is funny precisely because Arnold looks like he should be commanding an army instead. The kids get the best of him, the one-liners keep coming, and the movie still delivers some genuine action when things get serious. Terminator 2 might be the bigger achievement, but Kindergarten Cop has the kind of comfort-watch energy that keeps people coming back. Can comedy Arnold pull off the upset?
