Commando (1985)

They kidnapped the wrong guy's daughter. Commando gives Arnold Schwarzenegger one simple mission: get her back, no matter how many bad guys stand in his way. As John Matrix, Arnold turns shopping malls, airplanes, and enemy compounds into playgrounds of destruction. The action is ridiculous, the body count is enormous, and the one-liners are delivered with a straight face that makes them even better. This is the movie you throw on when you want peak 1980s Arnold without complicated explanations or emotional detours. Sure, Terminator 2 has a bigger story and Predator has a scarier enemy. But Commando has Arnold carrying an entire arsenal like it's a grocery bag. Is this his greatest action movie in its purest form? You decide.
