Coexist

Coexist

There was a point where this sticker was basically factory-installed on every Subaru in America.

Coexist tried to present itself as peaceful and universal, which is exactly why it became so divisive. Supporters saw tolerance, empathy, and open-mindedness. Critics saw a rolling TED Talk driven by someone correcting people’s recycling habits at parties.

That tension made it explode.

Unlike joke stickers like My Other Car Is a ___, Coexist felt morally serious. Putting it on your bumper wasn’t decoration. It was broadcasting your worldview to strangers in traffic.

And the reactions were immediate. Some people nodded approvingly. Others rolled their eyes so hard they nearly changed lanes accidentally.

Its rivalry with WWJD is one of the strongest matchups in the entire league because both think they represent kindness while attracting completely different tribes. Against Don’t Mess with Texas? That becomes idealism vs defiance overnight.

The craziest part is that Coexist somehow became both sincere and parody material at the exact same time.

That’s bumper sticker greatness.
