Blow Pop
The entire Blow Pop experience is built around anticipation. You’re working through that hard candy shell because eventually, supposedly, you’re getting bubble gum. Then the shell gets thin. The gum starts peeking through. Suddenly you’re chewing candy shards and gum at the same time like some kind of sugar demolition project. It’s messy. It’s weird. It rules. Blow Pop’s case against Tootsie Pop is obvious: why settle for a chewy candy center when you can unlock an entirely new activity? But that gum can lose its magic fast, which gives the Tootsie crowd plenty of ammunition. Compared with a simple Dum Dum, this thing is practically a three-act movie. The question is whether the ending lives up to all that buildup. Are you Team Gum Center or calling the whole thing overrated?
